Lady Ninja Storm

LaVeta Cameron, affectionately known as Storm or Lady Ninja Storm, began her journey in the martial arts world at the age of eleven on January 1, 1994. For years she had heard stories from her father, 8th Degree Black Belt, Alfonso Robinson, Sr. and his training in the arts. She wanted to continue in his footsteps and so he began to train her and her two younger brothers, Fonz and Dave. From that point on, she was taught to be disciplined and respectful in a whole new way that flourished over into every other part of her life. The foundation was laid and carefully built with hard work and training, resulting in the martial artist that she is today.

Eventually, LaVeta and her brothers started taking classes at the Robinson Academy of Martial Arts (RAMA) / Black Lion Fighting Systems, owned and run by their uncle, Timothy R. Robinson who is currently a 10th Degree Black Belt. Storm progressed through all of the martial arts ranks receiving the following belts: White, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green, Purple, Brown, and finally her Black Belt on December 1, 2001 at the age of nineteen. Currently a martial arts Master with a 5th Degree Black Belt, Storm enjoys the arts of Shotokan, Aikijutsu, and Ninjutsu.

On October 13, 2012, Storm became the first and only female student to complete the 25-Man Challenge in the history of RAMA/Black Lion Fighting Systems. Storm achieved her goal of going through the challenge before her thirtieth birthday. She has attended many seminars, clinics, and demonstrations and absolutely loves the physical contact of the arts including self-defense and weaponry, specifically the sword and knife. What’s next for the Lady Ninja Storm, you may ask? She has a few films in the works where she can combine her love of acting with her love of martial arts.    

Recently, Ms. Cameron started her own self-defense classes, mainly geared towards women, called Storms of Defense.
